Najmal has enthralled the crowd with his flexible, spontaneous movements and shown his tremendous consistency all through his career life. His 25 years of experience entailed performing and choreographing different styles of dancing that include hip-hop, salsa, flamenco, Chinese, Fusion, Contemporary, Acrobatics and film dances. Najmal is a full-time dance instructor whose youthful energy, endless patience, and clear teaching method combine to give students the ultimate learning experience, and  is quickly gaining a reputation as one of the best choreographer  and instructor in Kerala. He has 500 plus dance crew under  his choreography-workshop (called volcano dance company) all around India and abroad. He
was not only a choreographer with the popular Malayalam TV channels, Surya and Kairali, but also have a great deal of experience choreographing ramp shows. Najmal’s choreography he  made  for  the  prestigious reality shows on Surya and Kairali TV channels  caught  him the public’s attention. His students won the Celebrities reality show – Thillana Thillana (Surya TV) and Airtel Star Wars. Najmal’s much appreciated creativity and innovation when met with his students’ hardwork and talent grabbed the team the prize for  Rengoli, a very popular campus reality  show aired on Surya TV,  for  three consecutive years. To  his portfolio also comes his experience working with big names in the film and Ad  film industry and also judging for numerous national and state level competitions.  Najmal's innovative dance choreography fusing Classical and free style has won him public acclaim by winning the "BEST CHOREOGRAPHER AWARD" in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 in the South Indian dance competitions..

Najmal’s Quick Tips for Dancers To Stay Healthy

To be a good dancer one should first of all develop high self-esteem. Have complete control over your body, mind and emotions. Consider the obstacles that you encounter as a challenge and overcome them. Do not  give up easily. Dedication  and  practice will help you  move  ahead. Eliminate all negative thoughts. Feed your mind with positive, uplifting and inspiring thoughts. It is important  for  dancers to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Below are 10 important must-dos:


1. Quit smoking and limit alcohol intake.

2. If you are overweight, go on a sensible diet. Cut down on saturated fat intake, eat more fruits and vegetables.

3. Work out at least five times a week. Add strength and resistant training to your work out.

4. Get plenty of sleep and rest.

5. Do not skip meals.

6. Get a physical examination done annually, including a cardiac risk profile and a base-line bone density test.

7. Reduce stress through meditation, yoga, massage therapy or aromatherapy. Spend at least 15 minutes a day alone.

8. Take up activities that you enjoy. Celebrate every small victory.

9. Practice dance for a minimum of two hours at least three days a week.

10. Be kind and gentle on yourself.
